Can we only offer contracts to unemployed coaches during late free agency?

After an allocation draft are we stuck with the coaches we have until the following season, unless we sign a low-rated free agent coach?

I'm not a fan of my playbook and was hoping to get a different coach. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes you can only hire unemployed coaches in late free agency, stop trying to poach my coaches :P

I even tried to promote one of my coaches and cannot. It seems I may have to play this entire season with a 30-40 overall head coach!

Ya I think it's lame that we can't pick our playbook or at least hire good coaches that have the playbook we want first year. As it is you can either play with what you inherit or hire a crappy coach for a year and hope to sign a better one with the same playbook in year 2.

In a new startup league, that is how I determine which team I am going to pick.

That's a good idea and I try to do the same thing. But what about people who join late? They don't get much choice.

How about like a SLIDER bar for coaches where you can decide what offense you want , what defense you want , how your coach takes timeouts in the game , how aggressive or passive you want your coach to be in certain situations , etc.

Kind of like the Max FG Distance (Normal) , Max FG Distance (End of Half) , GP Distance Adjustment Speed , Hurry Up - Min remaining per score and Slow Down - Min remaining per score do in the MISC Options where you can have the bar to the 0 or you can go crazy have them the farthest to the right .

Though probably wouldn't put those slider bars in the MISC Options more like put them on the coach 's profile or like the gameplan for offense and defense .

Unless you made a whole new TAB in gameplan for coaches for offense and coaches for defense then just have where you can pick what offense you want to run , when you want your coach to take timeouts on offense , how aggressive or passive you want your offense coaches to be , etc. then do the same for Defense .
