Overrides and Substitution Logic

Scenario: I set a position override so that my CB3 plays the WILB in the 3-4 defense so that my base defense becomes a 3-3-5. Why? Because reasons.

Question: What happen when my CB3 subs out because of fatigue? Does he sub out? Does the MLB2 sub in? Does the CB4 sub in?

If your override player fails the fatigue threshold test, he will stay on the bench and your normal depth chart will apply.

Thanks! This emphasizes my need for position level overrides as opposed to individual player overrides. Or at least an expanded offensive and defensive playbook where I have more options with play types.

Or a depth chart within the override section.

Even better.

I like this idea.

Really I would like it the other way...a depth chart broken down the same way overides break it down by formation , cause I still would like to then overide that based on down and so on.

That's how I interpreted his suggestion.

The overrides screen would look like it does now, except that instead of inserting 1 player to replace another, you would have a depth chart at each position.

Still keep the downs, distances, etc. (and hopefully add those options for the kicking game).

I agree with the above. I would like a default depth chart and a per personnel set depth chart.

That's it.
