Ok guys. Not really sure if this should be addressed in the help Forum or the bug box forum. But here goes.

We just had the Conf. Champ.games over in League 35. My San Diego squad was matched up against Tarquin and his Boston bunch. We had a really crazy sim and with a boatload of turnovers by Tarquin. With all those, even with him basically controlling much of the game, I managed to eek out the victory.

Now postgame, in some discussion, we have discovered some quirky things. Tarquin changed a play or two in gameplanning that really bit him in the b**t by accident. That is just a mea culpa. However, going back and looking at my gameplanning there was a new Defensive rule added in my plan. It wasn't one of my rules!!!! And my goal line D rule had been deactivated!

So, again it isn't any rule I have ever recalled. Never seen it. Never used it. Don't know where it came from. The name of the rule was "Phillips power def.". The question is; does anyone else have this rule? It is like a goal line defense and I only assume named in conjunction with some one named Phillips or with a Defensive stud by that name. Of which none of my 4 teams have.

So again, total fluke? Game bug? Or am I just crazy and made a rule and brainfarted to totally forget it?

(And yes, I already deleted it since I have an active league championship game tonight in 35)

In all my time playing the game I've never had a rule suddenly appear out of thin air. Quirks do happen and since there's no way you'd name a rule to such detail and forget doing it.....something must have blended into your game plan somehow.

As for de-activating the goal-line defense. Maybe you tapped it once or tapped it twice and turned it off or never flicked it back on from a previous game. Or it was another quirk... :)

My rules tend to operate as intended and haven't experienced them not being in place.

Tarquin's new plays coming back at him hard, well, yeah I've noticed that the sim will latch itself onto a change and not let go.

Have to be very delicate with what you add defensively and offensively through 1 of the ways we move the ball. *grins, ya'll can probably figure out which way*

Thanks for your thoughts, Smirt. Yeah, I have never seen it in my time here either. And I guess I could have flubbed it with the fingers.

But I didn't add any new rules prior to this matchup. And even if I had, all my rules have basic generic titles like "2nd and 2" or "spread pass defense"( which I mostly use across all my leagues in general). Phillips power def. --- I think I would have remembered that. Or why I named it after a Phillips?

Laffs. ****, I dunno. I guess I gotta start nipping on the Wild Turkey bottle more heavily to come up with more "phantom " gameplans!!! LOL

Could you imagine the uproar it'd cause if 'phantom' game plans became the rage.

Chaos ensues. Punts on 3rd down...! RBs running in the wrong direction for safeties!

ROFL. Man, ya never know what "The Turkey " will make you do. But ****, if all it takes to win Championship games is roost in the trees at night, I say bartender "I'll have another drank!" .

Heck, how about putting your kicker in and throw screen passes to him or have him tote the rock on draw plays?

Quite a while back, the first LC game vs Mac in the NFL league, while watching the game i noticed that certain plays were being used that i had not had on the active play list. i was wondering if someone had hacked my account and changed up the gameplan, lol. Mac noticed it also, and was wondering wth had happened. Could have been a glitch, havent had that happen since.
