Is there a way to fire a coach to free up cash?

Just go and hire a new coach, the salary of your fired coach will go back into your coaches money pool minus whatever you are paying the new one.

Exceptions: HC cannot be paid less than coordinators. COrdinators cannot be paid less than position coaches.

When a new GM takes over an AI run team, coach contracts are regularly in excess of $9mil for position coaches.
This is rediculous.

The user cannot sign any coach for less annual salary than the coach below or equal to them, which more than often means a new GM must start by replacing all position coaches before any coordinators, just to be able to hire a HC at a lower salary.

If one wants to replace the HC and/or fix coach salaries, every coach needs to be turned over and it's often a 2 off season process and that process often leaves users without a coach wherever going into draft day 1 or, worse, Preseason mid week 1 of the current season of play.
We have all been there, especially because every MFN update creates a playbook bias and thus playbook demand.

I won't bother going into the headaches for new players who falsely think all coaches must have the same playbooks and the gymnastics of the unecessary new players to MFN experience and endure regarding coach salaries due to non-NFL CBA MFN requirements, poor AI logic, and random user generated forum coach speculation.

FWIW, HC is all that matters when it comes to the playbook, noobs. Coordinators and position coaches "may" impact individual player progress, see threads supporting both concepts without dev clarity and/or literal specificity 2018-current.

I agree JB90, and honestly, it's now getting tiring. The thread was about some help from a member of the community on how to do something with the game, which was answered (by all means add constructive comments) but to hijack the thread and many others with another "I don't like the game at the moment so stop your entire life JDB and start fixing it or I quit" rant.

I really didn't want to say anything on any thread as I was raised to not say anything unless you can't say something nice but I seriously have to now because it's getting beyond a joke now.

We all get that the game engine is not perfect but guess what??? Not everything in life if perfect, everything has flaws and faults and issues.

We all get it that there are faults with the game, that it could be better and yeah, even I do as well. I wish game planning was easier, I'd like to see that revamped, I'd like to see things like bye weeks and better coaching contract mechanics in the same to avoid the need to poach coaches and yes, I'd love to see a mobile interface to make checking my teams a whole lot easier while I'm at work... and JDB has said that he has a lot of things in the pipeline but real life (and jobs that actually pay the bills) comes first. I accept that and I move on playing as best as I can.

We all understand that there are things in the game that aren't currently part of the real life NFL. Fine, it's nice to discuss it and say "I'd really love if the game that had this in in" and JDB has said he has projects related to MFN in the pipeline... so accept that, move on, play the game as it is and stop complaining in every single thread about the game... it is getting quite annoying and frankly, tiring seeing forum updates and all it is is the same person complaining every single time.

I have a solution. If you don't like it, then leave.

Yeah we want JDB to never fix the game just so you quit because the whole world revolves around you.
