The cards show as Cincinnati QB #1, RB #1, etc and the player it represents can change based on current depth charts. So if you own Cleveland RB #1 and Chubb gets hurt, the next game Kareem Hunt would presumably be Cleveland RB #1 and you would get his stats instead.

This is the 2nd season of this game, and there are a lot more details I haven't shared, such as season 1 cards never take a scoring penalty. To stimulate yearly sales, season 2 cards will get a 1% scoring penalty in 2023, and the penalty increases yearly. Also the cost values change, making some older cards way more valuable, and others the newer card is better.

For example, season 1 Cincinnati QB #1 costs 15 to use (20 is the highest cost), but for season 2 I believe he's a 20 point card, maybe 19. Pittsburgh RB #1 was 15 last year and that's a bargain.

Yes it's free to enter tourneys. They do also have sponsored tourneys that cost wax to join but it's not a requirement to do so.

This season they made it so you don't even have to own NFT's to play, though they will give new users a pack right now as a promo/thank you. It's on the Wax blockchain and they can walk you through the process of creating a wallet.
