that's a perfect example of a qb that would be elite if a pocket qb could succeed over the long hall on mfn. If he has time i'm sure he will pick a part defenses but if he gets pressure he will throw incompletions and interceptions. 23 is a killer at scramble. I would trade him for a boat load of draft picks and try to find someone with more athleticism

That's how I was rating my QBs. I wasn't looking for Michael Vick, but Peyton Manning instead.

He had a good year in his 2nd season (63.6% completion, 112.42 QB rating). Then he had a significant drop in his 3rd season due to the new code (53.9% comp, 88.98 QBR).

It's very discouraging that everything I've done to build up my team(s) in the past year or more of my life is now wasted. Since I basically have to scrap everything and start over from scratch, I might as well do it with a new team.

When the next allocation comes up I'll probably get rid of the rest of my current teams (except maybe 2 or 3) and start over. Actually, I'll probably need to wait until 2 or 3 more "versions" have been released in the hope that at least some of these issues are addressed.

I don't recall seeing these issues in MFN-1 before this was made an official change. Maybe that's why I won my first championship in that league? All of a sudden the owners who knew what they were doing started struggling while my team caught fire in the playoffs.

I have a question re: the new update.

But first, let me say that I greatly appreciate how thoroughly and completely (all of) you that dysect and analyze the net affect on game play. I have neither the knowledge or experience to do that myself.

What I don't understand, is whether or not these changes will be tweaked, to be more like before the change, or is this it? For example: the low scramble rating causing those QB's to be much less effective than before. Or the fast charging defensive lineman, or the game turning more into a track meet than a football game. This is it? (I figured that out on my own, when WarEagle said he might as well start over)

I'm inclined to build my team as I think it should be built. I draft linebackers to play linebackers defensive backs to be defensive backs. I want my cornerbacks and wide receivers to be 6 feet I want my lineman to be 6 for over 300 pounds. I don't want to put 250 pound guys on the line for the purpose of beating a code.

I'm not speaking ill of those who do, I understand. I just figure at some point the pendulum will swing the other way and having a team the way I want will eventually work in my favor.

If I don't ever want to leave Championship, so be it. There's bigger things in life not winning the league championship... LOL

I've won plenty of leagues doing exactly what you're talking about. It certainly is possible to do.

i dont move guys to unrealistic positions either but i'm also not closed minded that all players have to fit in a box to play certain positions. I like adapting and adjusting my thought process based on what i see. I have a philosophy on all my teams but i will adapt my scheme. I think this game is unique because it allows different ways to win. The grinders are the ones being innovative and making their own path. In 75 my line was trash under the new code so i did a bunch of work to patch it together. I will continue to rebuild it but instead of be overly frustrated i just thought of ways to make it work. :)

The game is still in its pre-1.0 release, which means that there will be plenty of changes to make it more realistic over time. The development cycle is still in a pretty volatile pendulum swing - a significant issue is addressed which causes an opposite significant issue that doesn't reveal itself until it gets into a general release, which will then be addressed and likely will reveal another significant issue, during each iteration the swings become less and less until it eventually resolves into a more and more realistic simulation. Rest assured that even after I feel like the engine has gotten to a 1.0 level release, it will always continue to be scrutinized and refined.

As always I really do appreciate everyone's feedback and patience as the game matures.
