How much of a factor is intelligence in a successful pass block? Anyone toy with this? How important is it for oline .

Aside from QBs and hot reads, I don't think intelligence plays much of a role at all in the actual gameplay.

I just looked at this one team and they don't get sacked . 11 out of 800 pass attempts , and the only real tell is quiker qbs, no long routes? But probably most noted is 80 plus wrs and a lot of 4-5 wr sets.

Fast QBs, short routes, and six blockers (either 6 OL or 5 OL + FB/RB) are how I've been able to keep my sack numbers down. It looks like 0.4.x (haven't seen it outside the beta as much) is changing that with high break tackle QBs being able to shuck would be sacks and stay upright.

I don't value INT on OL as much as I do other positions. Not sure how much play knowledge is going to let the OL hold a block longer...

I also thought that intelligence was also used as to how quickly that player learned plays as well?

Here is the team, 4 sacks(500 + attempts ) this preseason /season in an all pass offense. No qbs with elite ratings but he rotates them and 7 wrs rated over 78. So perhaps the ability to stay away from defenders while being pressured in combo with the wrs ability to get open?

Still linemen / qb ability have little or no effect here as they seem to be C+ grade at best.

However it was just another day at the office as the Jacksonville Recievers thought it was just another pass thrown by their Quarterback and saved the day by making the catch

The three qbs have 100, 100, and 91 intelligence .

And the 5 OL that have played the most plays have an average default pass blocking rating of 88, average strength of 92 and average speed of 91.
The three QB have an default average 83 speed, average strength of 72, average scrambling skill of 82, and a 54 average pass release. They also average 7.3 yards a catch (short plus/medium minus)
The top five WR/TE that have played the most plays have a 85 pass catching average as well as a 97 average speed.
If I had those, you better believe I would throw it short to medium every play also.
So I do not know why you are complaining other than just being jealous. Clearly the coach had a planned scheme and put the right people in the right places to execute it. It's not his fault that you can't keep up.

Your evaluation would dictate a possibility of zero sacks in infinite pass attempts . Saying they had 100 s in everything . As at best a C plus of ratings and scheme generate nfl records?.?.?.? . I would prefer it a bit harder it that what you were suggesting.

Still, I will never know where your energy is coming from. Whether to take it seriously or just another shot at my character . One thing that seems to be regular bussiness for your, but what I know is not is your evaluations.

None of that dictates sack rates in the nfl........and do you really think straw planned that or came across something that worked and maximizeD the numbers to generate results he wanted after trial and error.

What newb would think intuitively that that would work? To generate nfl records...... Your fool proof plan for no sacks. Please oh please enlightenment is upon us.
