Waiver Wire Reset

I was wondering when Waiver Wire order is reset. I.E. If I have 1st priority during midweek and select a player does my order reset for game day back to 2nd or will I be at the bottom for the start of the next cycle of waiver claims?

Waiver claims are random in MFN.

The waiver wire order is reset at the beginning of the sim. You only fall to the bottom for waiver wire offers of the current sim.

The way I understand it is this
First week's waiver order is A, B, C, D, E
B, C, and D each make a claim. A and E do not.
B and C are awarded their claims, D doesn't get one because the player went elsewhere.
Next week, the order should be A, D, E, B, C
Right?
I believe that's the way it works in the NFL

No, the waiver wire is set based on worst team to best team from the previous season plus the current season so far (win/loss records only, tiebreakers are just random sorting) until the halfway point, at which time it only considers the current season. So, if the order is A, B, C, D, and A takes a claim, the next order is B, C, D, A. If B takes a player in the same week, the the order is C, D, A, B. However, after that sim has run, the next midweek where waiver wire claims are awarded, the order is calculated fresh.

I'm a little confused. When I've filed waiver claims for players that other owners claimed, the win-loss record doesn't seem to have an effect on who gets the claim.

I think I understand now. This suggests that you only get to claim one player, and then go to the bottom of the order?

Yeah, it's basically there in case there are a handful of highly valued players on the waiver wire so that the worst team doesn't get all of them. Obviously if you have uncontested claims you will get all of them.

Why not let the worst team get all of them?

Okay, yeah, I forgot about the re-ordering based on current standings. Thank you sir.
